Convergence Journalist | Missouri School of Journalism Student
Convergence NOUN: 1. the act of converging VERB: 1. to tend to meet at a point or a line, to incline toward each other 2. to tend to a common result or conclusion.
My degree is in convergence journalism. That means I look for ways to tell stories by combining multiple sources of information and by creating multiple types of media.
My end result can be anything from text to video to infographic, and I’m trained to combine elements to tell one, comprehensive and cohesive story. Here are examples of my team stories. I worked on them with teams of either three or four fellow journalists. We all contributed equally to the reporting and worked together on the final pieces.
